May 12, 2012 Attention South Texas Members, After
reviewing the feedback about a Swimposium for South Texas, a vast majority
preferred to have the Swimposium the same weekend as our HOD. In order for USA
Swimming to be able to provide their resources, the Swimposium must be held on
a Saturday, which means that our HOD would be held on Sunday.
At our last
HOD, we voted to hold the HOD on Saturday, October 6. So before we proceed with
scheduling, we would like input about holding the Swimposium Saturday, October
6th, and switching the HOD to Sunday, October 7th. The HOD will be held in San
Antonio this year. If held, the Swimposium would also be in San Antonio, either
at the same or hotel, or possibly a larger venue.
Please respond by May
27th, 2012. Send comments to Mark Parshall, South Texas General
Chair, @ markparshall@yahoo.com

issued an interpretation of the breaststroke rule covering the initiation of

timing of the single butterfly kick which may follow initiation of the arm
