Austin Texas (locations in Lake Travis, Cedar Park, Westlake, and Steiner Ranch)

Lost Creek Aquatics ( is seeking an experienced swim coach to work with all age groups at our Westlake location. LCA has been a USA Swimming club since 2000 and has swimmers of all ages and abilities—from beginners to Junior Nationals qualifiers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current USA Swimming coach credentials or the ability to become certified within two weeks of hire
  • One year minimum competitive coaching experience with a USA Swimming member club
  • Competitive swimming experience as an athlete is preferred
  • Experience working with Team Unify is preferred
  • Ability to travel to swim meets within Texas
  • Passion for the sport and for working with swimmers of all ages and abilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

Hours are afternoons, Monday through Thursday, plus Saturday mornings. This position is 18-20 hours per week plus swim meets.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Head Swim Coach - Life Time Aquatics/Swim Team - San Antonio, Texas

Do you have a passion for Swimming and living a healthy way of life? We are looking for a passionate Head Swim Team Coach who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out.

A typical day for a Head Swim Team Coach could include:

  • Writing and leading Swim Team Group Workouts according to a season plan
  • Developing and Coaching Swim Team Coaches on your team
  • Registering new participants for the Team
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities

Duties & Responsibilities

· Creates an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants · Initiates, develops and maintains positive relationships with participants · Responds to member questions regarding Life Time's programs, policies and procedures · Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area · Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services · Ensures use of supplies follow the amount prearranged by the department budget · Assists in enforcing club and pool policies at all times · Acts as the liaison between the Aquatics Department Head, USA Swimming, Swim Coaches and Parents · Participates in weekly 1 on 1 meetings with the Aquatics Manager · Writes the season plan and workout templates for each season · Enters the swimmers into the swim meet program · Schedules Swim Coaches to attend swim meets and represents the Life Time team positively · Immediately reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth



Education & Experience

  • Four year college degree
  • Two years swim coaching experience
  • Swim lesson instruction experience preferred
  • One year customer service preferred

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

  • ASCA Level 3 Certification (mandatory) or higher
  • Member of ASCA and USA Swimming
  • Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification
  • Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid preferred
  • Complete LTU Safety Training before first shift
  • Complete all LTU courses within first 60 days of hire
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire
  • Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
