Fort Hood Area Dolphins Seeking Assistant Coach
The Fort Hood Area Dolphins are a year around - non-profit swimming organization serving Fort Hood and the surrounding area. We are looking for an enthusicatic part time assistant coach. Practice times for our swimmers (6-18) are Monday - Friday from 5-7 pm and Saturdays from 8 - 9:30 am.

Applicants must be current on all USA Swimming certification requirements and able to passbackground screening. Coaching experience preferred. Must have respectful and patient communication style with parents, staff and athletes and have the ability to provide consistent, positive motivation in a technique oriented environment.

San Antonio Wave - Swimming Age Group Coach
San Antonio, Texas

Position:
San Antonio Wave is looking for an enthusiastic Age Group Coach to add to our team. Wave has approximately 170 year-round swimmers running from three sites located at University of Texas at San Antonio, Alamo Heights High School and Smithson Valley, Texas. Our swim team is a non-profit 501-c3 organization managed by a committed volunteer board of parents that work in a supportive role with the team's Head Coach. Our vision is to be the preferred choice for swimming in San Antonio.

Responsibilities:
The Age Group Coach is responsible for day-to-day practice, drills and long term development of the swimmers.

Duties include:

  1. Planned daily practice drills
  2. Regular communication to swimmers, parents, and head coach
  3. Coach and supervise swim groups daily as needed
  4. Garner and grow Team Spirit
  5. Goal setting for the swimmers and completion of daily attendance by the coach
  6. Administrative management for the group's meet entries

Preferred Qualifications include:

  1. Coach member in good standing of USA Swimming;
  2. Respectful and patient communication style with parents, board members, staff and swimmers;
  3. Strong core values that include respect, trust, and integrity
  4. Ability to provide consistent, positive motivation in a technique oriented swim atmosphere
  5. ASCA certification or equivalent proven experience
  6. At least 1 year of coaching
  7. Qualified USA swim background check
  8. Certified in CPR, First Aid and Safety
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation: Competitive salary
We are currently accepting applications from qualified candidates to start the beginning of the 2011 Short Course Season, or prior to September 1, 2011.
