AQUA SWIFT AQUATICS - Full-time Head Age Group Coach

Primary responsibility is overseeing the age group swim program.   In the past five years, as a team Aqua Swift has grown from 65 to over 150 swimmers.   They have placed in the top 5 in their LSC championship meets and have had multiple Texas State (TAGS) champions.

Boerne, Texas is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas and is in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.  There are two public high schools and one private school program that have consistently placed in the top of the state high school conferences.   Many swimmers have moved on to sign with D1 and D2  college programs.

Salary is based on experience with hours to include several mornings per week and evenings Monday through Friday, as well as Saturdays and several meets per month on average.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily workouts as assigned by the head coach.
  • Work with the head coach to develop season and weekly plans in line with the goals of the team and specific groups.
  • Create and execute daily workouts in accordance with the weekly and season plans including coordinating and supervising dry land workouts.
  • Help athletes to reach LSC championship standards in performance and character.
  • Help with administrative duties such as meet entries, website, social media and team newsletter.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • College degree (preferred)
  • Current American Red Cross Life Guarding/First Aid Certification or equivalent
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent
  • American Red Cross Coaches Safety Training certification
  • USA Swimming Certification

Experience:

  • Five years of coaching experience (preferred)
  • Background in competitive swimming (preferred)

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience and includes incentive bonuses, vacation and holidays.

Circle C Select Swim Team (South Austin) seeks Age-Group Coach


Circle C Select Swim Team located at the Circle C Ranch community in South Austin, is searching for a full-time salaried age-group coach to assist with our age group programs. The position is full-time, 6 days a week and approximately 4 hours per day on-deck coaching and additional office duties. This position will be approximately 35+ hours a week. The anticipated start date is when filled.

Coaching Responsibilities

  • Attend daily workouts and swim meets as assigned by the Head Coach
  • Work with the Head Coach to develop and implement seasonal, weekly, and daily training plans for the assigned groups
  • Teach and train the swimmers in proper stroke techniques and racing strategies as appropriate for the age and developmental level of the assigned groups
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with the swimmers, their parents and other coaching staff
  • Participate fully in group practices and activities
  • Maintain daily attendance records for the group
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Coaching the Masters Swimming Program, 3-4 times in mornings per week.

Office Responsibilities

  • Complete all swim team related administrative tasks including billing and other tasks.


Qualifications include:

  • Prior high school and club coaching or competitive swimming experience
  • Current in USA Swimming required certifications: CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, Athlete Protection, Concussion Protocol Training, Background check, Coaches Advantage Training, Foundations of Coaching, MAAPP 2.0 and/or the ability to obtain required certifications.


Location:

  • We train at the Circle C HOA Swim Center, 5919 La Crosse Ave, Austin, Tx 78739. An outside Olympic size 25 yd x 50 meter pool.


Compensation:

  • $40,000-45,000 will be based on experience and qualifications. This position includes 40 hours of PTO annually, with a maximum of 40 hours of rollover PTO from year to year.

Texas A&M - 2024 Aggie Swim Club Camp Coaching Opportunities

Job Summary

The Aggie Swim Camp at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, has opportunities for five camp sessions for coaches from college, high school, and club teams who are excited to learn and work with younger kids and excellent staff. The Camp is very successful, with approximately 175 campers for each of our multiple-day sessions.  

In addition to assisting with camp as an assistant coach and camp counselor, you will also have the opportunity to spend time with successful collegiate coaches Jay Holmes, Steve Bultman,  Caroline Maxvill Stanek, Jason Calanog, Michael Walker, and Nicole McConnell.  

Free meals and housing are included, as is a stipend each week based on experience. Applicants must be 19 or older, have attended at least one year of college, and have experience as a competitive swimmer and/or coach. Current First Aid, CPR, and/or  Lifeguard/Safety Training for Swim Coaches are helpful.  

All staff must be willing to work a minimum of two sessions in an alcohol/drug-free environment.  
With our emphasis on stroke, start, and turn technique, this camp can make a great coaching clinic for any coach.
